The Lasso Advisor Web Platform helps financial advisors find new clients. Lasso modernizes the prospecting process by borrowing concepts from other match making services to create better, more customized matches for advisors. It also allows advisors to engage with potential clients before a first meeting has taken place, creating stronger buy-in for both advisors and clients who get to know one another a bit and experience what working together could look like.

I served as the Product Lead for the Lasso Advisor Web Platform. I was responsible for product strategy and design, as well as managing the development and launch of the website.

Financial Advisors operate within a highly regulated industry. This makes it challenging for advisors to meaningfully engage with prospective clients before having to go through fairly extensive due diligence. A key challenge we faced in building Lasso for advisors, was how to improve the prospecting process and allow advisors to actually show leads how they might be able to help them before requiring lots of detailed financial information. We wanted to build a simple, intuitive experience that could help advisors better sell their services and ultimately connect with prospective clients that were a match for their practice.

The Lasso Advisor Platform has helped nearly 1,000 financial advisors find new clients. 60% of users engaging with a financial advisor on Lasso take action to meet with that advisor and implement next steps. And advisors are typically getting prospects to take action within a week, which is a huge improvement over the average client close rates that can range from a month to a year.
